Adam moved across the Atlantic from Cornwall in the UK to Nova Scotia, Canada's Atlantic in 2008. The new coastline has been a constant draw for him and his camera since day one. With a background in fine art and having surfed for a couple of decades, the stunning Nova Scotian coastline and its wild, rugged and often brutally cold surroundings came together as perfect subject matter for producing artwork. The best way Adam can find to capture his new surroundings is to go wide-angle with his shots to squeeze as much of that ambience into each frame. His Surfscapes are rarely captured by anything other than his 10-20mm lens in an attempt to draw the viewer in to seeing what he's seeing first hand. He wants to stir something inside someone who surfs and allow them to loose themselves in that moment, be it the stark coldness, the sunset or the reeling waves on the point. In the digital era, Adam's goal is to make art and make prints. Getting his work on people's walls and making something that lasts longer than a few seconds on someones screen. It's the biggest draw for him as an artist and photographer, and seeing that work hung up and looking good is what it's all about for him. Check out more from Adam at his website and on Facebook
