After a sea change to the Victorian coastal town of Lorne in 2006, Alex quickly developed a deep affection for the ocean and surfing. Employment at the Lorne Surf Shop gave him the opportunity to engage in an industry he is passionate about, and the flexibility to enjoy surfing and the annual pilgrimages to Sumatra. He leads a lifestyle based on the alliance of family and friends, surfing, hang gliding, travel, fitness, music and art. Of the few people that get to appreciate the way the two recreations compliment each other, Alex always makes the most of the beautiful Great Ocean Road and Surf Coast he calls home.
