David Taylor is a 27-year-old public health educator from the small seaside town of Beaufort, North Carolina. David has spent the last seven years volunteering with multiple public health nonprofits, as well mentoring youth, most recently with the Eastern Surfing Association as an All-Star mentor and coach for the Mid-Atlantic Region. After spending his first few years in public health and nonprofit rural clinics, David began pursuing a career in health education; he fully believes that his experiences exploring creation, surfing, writing, and documenting his travels are vital to the health of the human condition. David is working on building his photojournalistic experiences to share his adventures with those who cannot leave their homes for various reasons. His dream is to help others dream and reach their potential by sharing his adventures and by serving those in need on a local level. His tag line reads, “Born in Beaufort, North Carolina, the third oldest town in our state, I am unsettled by the idea of venturing out into the unknown. Our small, historic fishing village is safe, secluded, and full of raw beauty. To step out into adventure, to dive into the newest “#wanderlust,” has taken me to new levels in my own “human experience.” Once afraid of heights, now a novice climber/hiker; once sketched out by surfing over reef—Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Central America, and slabs over cobblestone in Europe. I am thankful for my adventures and comforted knowing I can return to a small town where horses still roam wild, uninhabited islands off our coast. These are my adventures, exploring creation and trusting the creator; the adventures of DT.”
