About: Gary Linden

Gary was lucky enough to have a father who loved the ocean and a pediatrician who recommend saltwater as a cure for his asthma. At 12 years of age, Gary rode a surfboard for the first time and fifty years later he's still as stoked as that first day. Gary became the Competition Director of his first surf club when he was 15, and at 17 he started shaping surfboards for himself and friends. Gary has traveled the world surfing, shaping and participating in the growth of surfing as a sport. Linden learned to speak Portuguese and Spanish, while absorbing as much of the many unique cultures he's been exposed to. Linden is currently taking one year at a time towards my goal of riding some big ones through his sixties and beyond.
