Ryan Kuja is a writer, photographer, and global community development specialist currently finishing up graduate school in Seattle, Washington. Previously, he studied at the University of Vermont and Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom. He has a deep passion for using surfing as means for community partnership in places where epic waves break on the shoreline of communities marred by insidious poverty. Ryan's (mis)adventures as a surfer, humanitarian aid worker, and traveler have taken him to over 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe.
