With each additional view to the counter, the business models of the GoPros and Red Bulls of the world are affirmed. It’s not that they necessarily profit from the falls, but rather from this outrageous extreme. An extreme that has long since turned its back on sanity. The way that we respond to crash landings and broken bones is arguably sadistic.
Surfing has come to China and won’t ever leave. An intense and feverish period of work brought us to where we are now. Surfing can help young Chinese people to rediscover their true love for nature and the ocean.

Pristine lineups are certainly being “discovered” by more people and crowded out, but this is just as much a function of extreme demographic pressures in well-known surfing areas as it is any effect of spots being revealed in the media through photos or the odd contest.
