The Inertia for Good Editor

The Inertia

Let’s be honest, Parkour is kind of ridiculous. Yes, there are some incredibly talented athletes who do amazing things. But aside from watching the few who are landing stuntwork gigs in Hollywood films, the average person’s interest in it probably relies more heavily on finding Parkour fail gems on their Instagram feed.

And that’s likely the inspiration behind OBB Pictures’ Parkourtown & the Boyz, a scripted spoof on doc-style films like Dogtown, digging into the ‘real’ roots of Parkour. Obviously, this isn’t how it all really started. But considering all the Darwin Award nominees who have tried their hand at extreme “pitty pats and leg twists” and…other random Parkour stuff that I know nothing about, would you be surprised if this really was how Parkour took off?
