The Inertia

Grooossss, aaawwweeesome, and everything in between — but above all: cooooool. Basically, this video has us geeking out like middle schoolers in biology class.

Two bio students doing research at the University of Southern Denmark stumbled across said cooooool discovery when one of their test subjects, a starfish, consistently squeezed microchips out of its body through its arms. While they’re not exactly sure how the starfish shits out the chips, or why (we assume it is because the creature doesn’t like random objects being injected by way of hypodermic needle), this offers even more insight as to how some animals are able to heal themselves so quickly.

Anyway, along with its armored skin and ability to regrow limbs, these dudes are survivors.
