My photographic work of the vast ocean blue steps away from commercial surf photography. Growing up on a yacht and sailing around the world profoundly connected me with the sea, giving me salt water in my veins. I have always felt a strong affinity for the ocean and the freedom it inspires.
I received my first camera when I was two years old and, while I was growing up, my father, an avid amateur cameraman, inspired me. I began to surf at 13, but at 16, I suffered a spinal injury in a car accident and had to relearn how to walk and surf again.
Surf and ocean photography, for me, is a way to connect with the ocean through a unique vision and to share the beautiful grace of the ocean.
