The Inertia

When Nanammal Amma was a young girl working in the fields of India, she would return from the farmlands with her grandparents who would practice yoga to unwind. She started doing the same. And now she’s part of three generations of yogis (her 11-year-old grandson is the youngest). She is revered as a teacher and spiritual leader. And her practice is a thing of beauty. “If you want to become a yogi, wealth is secondary,” she says. “Health becomes your priority and everything is achievable.”
