The Inertia

Summer is awesome and all, what with the barbeques, lake time and debauchery. But how desperate are you to get on your skis or snowboard? Apparently, Italian skiier Alberto Ronchi couldn’t take it anymore. Ronchi, alongside ski-instructor Patrik De Michiel, charge some insane lines on Monte Pelmo in the Dolomites in Northeastern Italy. Too bad they were shredding pure stone.

Looks like a pretty good way to destroy a pair of skis, but I guess if you’re really itching it’s a necessary evil. I can’t imagine it was too easy on their knees either.

Surprisingly, they make it look almost too smooth – like they’re not even skiing rock. It even looks nearly as fun as snow. Until Ronchi takes a beater at the end.
