Here’s a mission for you: Five dudes on bikes, with racks for their snow-sliding gear, pedaling themsleves from Reno, Nevada to Mt. Whitney, just outside Bishop, California. That’s 250-odd miles and who knows how many miles of spring Sierra goodness for splitboarding and skiing.

And as you can see, the photos are rather glorious. Nick Russell, Max Hammer, Gray Thompson, Eric Messier and Joel Oberly pulled off a serious mission. Using the hashtag #jive395, they mined some serious Eastern Sierra goods and told a pretty rad story of conservation and climate change on their individual Insty accounts. Scroll through and see.
