The Inertia

Instagram is like crack cocaine for a visual person. It’s hard to stop looking, scrolling, liking, and coming back for more. This app has put the world’s best artists and their art literally at your fingertips. If you follow the right folks, your feed is an endless stream of creative and colorful eye candy to drool over. As a surfer and artist, I enjoy following people with similar passions. But watch out, don’t confuse surfer art with surf art. An artist who surfs doesn’t necessarily paint waves with dudes on little sticks getting barreled. A few on this list do, but there are others who never paint waves. And that’s fine. My personal taste in art is abstract and has absolutely nothing to do with surfing. In no particular order, here are 12 surf artists you should probably be following.

Awesome picks! Always love checking out new talent, hadn’t seen a few of the people on your list. Its very refreshing to have a surfer and artist say who’s work he/she admires. Great contribution!

  • Amazing!!!

  • Yeah there are a lot go great artists who surf out there. Unfortunately many like Andy Davis (who’s art I love!) post a lot of things on their Instagram accounts other than their art…. which was the focus of this article. I don’t need to see children, multiple selfies at parties, what they ate for breakfast etc…

  • Great picks, you left out @iamtorquato

  • Christian Enns

I would include myself in this list.
