First off, I love to dance. Anything dance-y is perfect for a summer jam.
“Old Pine” by Ben Howard: My summer morning starts with “Old Pine” by Ben Howard. When I’m making my coffee, that song is on. It just gets you in a good mood. Anything Ben Howard, but that one’s great.
“The Way” by Ariana Grande: Right now my favorite song is “The Way” by Ariana Grande. It’s super girly, but any girl would like it.
“High School” by Nicki Minaj: It’s really good, and it’s not on the radio all day, so it’s amazing still. Once they get on the radio, they’re so blown out.
“Pound the Alarm” by Nicki Minaj: I psych up to “Pound the Alarm” by Nicki Minaj before a heat. That’s my jam. And I actually like country somehow too.
“Goodbye California” by Jana Kramer: You wouldn’t believe it, but Dusty [Payne] gave me that one. He’s the biggest country fan. He’s actually a redneck.
I like a mix of everything, but I just don’t do rock or heavy metal.
