Editor’s Note: In the spirit of Fourth of July and summer, we asked Coco Ho to share with us her favorite summer jams. So crank up the stereo. It’s summertime, and these are Coco’s jams.

First off, I love to dance. Anything dance-y is perfect for a summer jam.

“Old Pine” by Ben HowardMy summer morning starts with “Old Pine” by Ben Howard. When I’m making my coffee, that song is on. It just gets you in a good mood. Anything Ben Howard, but that one’s great.

“The Way” by Ariana GrandeRight now my favorite song is “The Way” by Ariana Grande. It’s super girly, but any girl would like it.

“High School” by Nicki MinajIt’s really good, and it’s not on the radio all day, so it’s amazing still. Once they get on the radio, they’re so blown out.

“Pound the Alarm” by Nicki Minaj: I psych up to “Pound the Alarm” by Nicki Minaj before a heat. That’s my jam. And I actually like country somehow too.

“Goodbye California” by Jana Kramer: You wouldn’t believe it, but Dusty [Payne] gave me that one. He’s the biggest country fan. He’s actually a redneck.

I like a mix of everything, but I just don’t do rock or heavy metal.
