Nazaré, Portugal absolutely exploded last week. It might’ve been the biggest waves ever surfed at the famed big-wave spot, and Benjamin Sanchis (among others) was there to have a go.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. After one near-wipeout, Sanchis goes down hard in the worst possible place. Moments later, the full brunt of Nazaré’s weight lands on him. And you can bet that brunt weighs a whole lot.
