Noa Deane and Shane Fletcher dredged the edit bin to put together what makes an awesome flashback of “shitty footage, good music, and leftover moments.” Part of a new 4:3 series, these are an homage to the VHS tapes we grew up with, complete with pixelated 4:3 screens and punk tracks. And it’s doing a great job by putting us in a Saturday morning frenzy of a Lucky Charms sugar high while the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles plays on the boob tube.
For whatever it’s worth, this “shitty footage,” with the treatment they gave it, is far from “shitty.”
