Summer was good to Orange County. It was also bad to Orange County. From severe wave drought (not to mention overall water drought) to pumping late-season hurricanes and dramatic sandbar shifts, it’s had an abundance of speed bumps.
Through the highs and lows, I’ve done my best to document what the coast has been up to. Minus, of course, that one swell at a certain south-facing Newport Beach pipe haven. But hey, do you really need to see another angle of Oliver Kurtz getting barreled off his head? Actually yes. Yes, you do. I just blew it and left town that day. Sorry.
