The Inertia

Ming Nomchong, in front of the lens for a change.

Autumn is my favorite time of year in Byron. The crowds have eased, the water is warm and the days still linger of summer.

Days are still spent swimming, surfing, exploring and chilling, but without the hectic-ness of the summer months. It’s when Byron’s locals really get to enjoy living in one of the most beautiful places in Australia.

As afternoons pass by, pink and gold grace the skies, the water is glassy and rolling, there’s salt in your hair and sun on your skin. It makes you feel like summer has come back for one last party wave. As the seasons change and the winds die down and the swells picks up, there’s no better place to be than down by the sea.
