Recently, a friend of mine invited me to his “ranch” for the weekend. Of course, I agreed. The plan was to surf early in the morning and then continue on to this ranch. The surf was horrible, though. There were no waves and from that perspective, it was all a complete waste of time.
With our surfboards still loaded up, we arrived at the ranch. The first thing I noticed was a pond in the middle of it all, and that’s when an idea came to me. It took a little bit of pushing, but I finally got my friends to jump on board. Eventually, that inspired another friend to suggest we build a ramp, and more fun ensued. We built that sketchy ramp as fast as we could before anybody realized it was a bad idea.
Sometimes, the best plans are the ones you didn’t expect to make.
