The Quik Pro France has had a few lay days in a row. After getting through the early rounds, the event was called off – but only because a bigger, better swell was on its way. But just because a bigger and better swell is coming doesn’t mean that there aren’t waves.
What happens when some of the world’s best surfers all get stuck in one place for a few consecutive lay days and the waves happen to be good? Well, have a look-see. Sure, the music might sound like the final scene from an 80’s surf/BMX/skateboard movie, but surfers including Kelly Slater, Gabriel Medina, Miguel Pupo, Jordy Smith, Nat Young, and Filipe Toledo aren’t listening.
