The Inertia

JP Auclair is one of those icons whose inspirational impact lives long past the park and backcountry edits that initially brought attention in the way of fame. His undying influence and eternal legacy are paralleled only by the signature style with which he ascended to the top of both metaphorical and literal mountain. So it should be of no surprise that he is still being celebrated far and wide, most recently at the inaugural JP Memorial event in Riksgränsen, Sweden, earlier this month.

There, a ski crew more widely known as The Bunch took first prize and put together the above edit to immortalize the day.

And while actions often do speak louder than words, the words they wrote in remembrance are definitely worth reading.

Hey Man!

Hope all is well up there, that you’re shredding a lot of fresh clouds with biggie and all that. Unfortunately we never got to meet you in this life. But of what we can understand you added a big part of the style in our lifestyles.

Just wanted to toss a major shouts for that and everything else you did for the skiing community and the rest of the world. Teaching us all how to have a real #goodtime, truly inspiring.

Oh and by the way, we won the price [sic] for Most fun. Pretty good price [sic] to win huh?

This years memorial for you was real turnt up, we had a shit tone of fun and made a lot of new and old friends. I can’t tell you how much we all wish you where here.

Yours truly

The Bunch
