The Inertia

Wait, every piece of modern action sports cinematography isn’t captured with a drone or some GoPro mounted to a bike, board, skate, head, helmet or orifice? Yes, it turns out the folks behind The Search For Freedom are as old school crafty as can be when it came time to make this film a reality. If you’ve seen the full movie already, this short behind the scenes look will build on your appreciation of it all. And if you still haven’t seen The Search For Freedom, couple the ingenuity and creativity in this clip with the inspiration behind it all and go watch. Here’s what you need to know about the film: It’s about the human desire to live in the moment and do what makes you feel most alive.

Here it’s mountain biking. But everywhere from the mountains to the ocean, above, and beyond them all, they were putting these peculiar “how are we going to get that shot” problem solving skills to the test. Who’d have thunk? The guys in front of the camera are bombing a trail while the guy behind the camera is ziplining it. Looks like the same passion went into making the film as the athletes they spotlight in this film.
