If you haven’t heard of Vasu Sojitra you should have. Dude kills it in the mountains. He’s a dedicated ski mountaineer. He’s gone after some seriously rowdy descents. And he’s a really good skateboarder. All this after losing a leg to a blood disease just before his first birthday. But that’s merely a side note these days. Thankfully, the DPS-sponsored skier has a pretty rad sense of humor. The other night he was waiting to get into a Halloween shin-dig when he had this semi-hilarious exchange:
Random Lady: “Do you have one leg?”
Me: “Yes I do”
Random Lady: “Are you a black man with one leg?
Me: “Close. I’m a brown man with one leg.”
Random Lady: “Are you gay?! Because that would be a trifecta.”
Me: “Oh not quite. That would be crazy though.”
Random Lady: **hugs me**
Me: Incredibly caught off guard while dressed as a microphone getting ID’d to go into a Halloween show and not quite sure whether to feel offended or not.
