SEMA, the annual car show in Las Vegas, is basically an excuse for companies with a lot of money to make stuff they think we’d come up with in our wildest dreams. Well, a concept car that has potential to double as a cat for backcountry riding definitely fits that bill.

KIA designed the Ski Gondola concept car and everything was customized on one of the company’s signature Sorrentos: the radical tank like treads for tackling any terrain, fabricated ski and snowboard rack, rubberized interior system, custom stitched seat covers.

No word on the gas mileage on this puppy but it can’t be good. But that’s not the point–it’s a KIA Sorento that can tackle nearly any terrain. Here’s a weird aspect, too: The front seats, passenger and driver, have been switched to face backwards with a tablet that controls the whole car in the middle console. For now, this is just a dream machine but who knows?
