Powderchasers, a website for those of us committed to finding fresh snow, has issued a powder alert for the Turkey Day Weekend:
“WHITE TURKEY ALERT! SEVERAL FEET OF SNOW WILL PILE UP OVER THE CASCADES THIS WEEK EXTENDING TO THE SIERRA LATE THIS WEEKEND! THE ROCKIES GRAB LEFTOVERS.”
The Cascades, British Columbia and Northern Idaho and Montana are expected to get deep where 10-20 inches are likely in parts of the Cascades and into the Kootenais and the Rockies should receive a fresh dump early next week as the storm passes through. The entire Sierra range in California is expected to get a dumping, including 7-12 inches in northern reaches and 12-16 inches in the southern tip by Friday. Read Powderchasers entire report, here.
