Alusine Conteh grew up on a dirt road in the backwoods of Massachusetts. He has been an expat for the past 10 years, working with a variety of NGOs and the Peace Corps, where he served for 27 months in the Education Sector. His work has brought him to West Africa, Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean. Raised by Punk music and the DIY mentality, his ideologies are often counter to the Mainstream. He considers himself an iconoclast.
