I'm blessed that I am able to call Outer Banks my home. I didn’t start surfing until I was in High School. When the waves were good, I would skip class to play in the ocean. I have always been interested in documenting my adventures. In the past few months I have learned a lot about photography. For me, surfing a perfect wave feels way better than taking a photograph, unfortunately that feeling fades. In less than a day, the surf buzz is usually gone. Photographs last forever. Over the summer, I was able to help out my friend Daniel Pullen and his wife Kate with their photography company. I learned so much by watching Daniel and he really opened the door for me. I plan on surfing and taking pictures for the rest of my life, whether or not I can make career out of it.
