Dan Webber is one of the six Webber brothers, an Australian family of surfers, writers, filmmakers and designers, who have been contributing to surfing culture since the mid 1970s. He is currently working with his brother, Greg Webber, whose Webber Wave Pool could radically transform the world of surfing. Dan’s own pursuits include the ongoing development of a wiki encyclopedia of surfing, called Surferpedia, and a philosophy of mind that he calls Surfism. He has a masters degree in English and has published an academic paper, based on his philosophy, entitled Zen and the Art of Surfboard Design.
