David Powdrell has been shooting amateur surf-related photography since 1972. He grew up in Palos Verdes, but moved to Santa Barbara area in 1980. Now living in Carpinteria with his beautiful wife, Valerie, he is a CPA by trade. Quirkiest accomplishment: kayaked from Oregon to Mexico in a plastic sit-on-top with my surfing buddies over the course of 18 years (finished last year).
