Jahmin Lerum was raised on the island of Bali until the age of 9 before moving to the “true” Californian surf-city, Santa Cruz (sorry Huntington). He never travels with a surfboard anymore and truly believes his boards left at friend’s houses will not be dinged in his absence, though he is yet to be proved correct. He now works as a filmmaker and has a B.S. in Biopsychology from UCSB and an M.A. in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, neither of which give him a clue as to what mise an scéne pertains to. He is still trying to figure out how to surf the wavelength that produces purple in our visual spectrum. One day he hopes to succeed.
