Joshua Duclos is a PhD candidate in philosophy at Boston University. He has a BA degree from Connecticut College and a MA from the University of Chicago. From 2008-2009 he was a Fulbright Scholar in the Czech Republic. In 2016 he was named as a summer research fellow at the Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer Range Future. His dissertation focuses on the meaning and value of wilderness in environmental ethics. Mr. Duclos has taught a wide variety of courses on ethics, political philosophy, logic, and intellectual history. He currently teaches at Groton School in Groton, MA. Outside of academia, Mr. Duclos works as backcountry guide and spends as much time as possible in New Hampshire's White Mountains.
