College football is one of America’s national treasures, a sport we can root for colloquially while finding common ground in the grand old game regardless of what corner of the country we live in. And today, the country’s best high school recruits are announcing their choices on where they’ll play next year.
Players get all sorts of creative in announcing choices: one player wore four different shirts, slowly peeling off each one before revealing his choice. Others will have parents unwrap presents containing hats to announce their new home. But this dude got it right.

Connor Wedington, a 4-star running back recruit from Washington state’s Sumner High School, went shredding on Snoqualmie Pass (we’re thinking Alpental). He had four friends wear shirts of his possible landing spots. Then hucked an air (nice little method if that’s actually him) and had his choice painted on the base of the board: The Stanford Cardinal (nice one David Shaw). Now if his coach doesn’t end up in the NFL in the next four years, Wedington made the right call. And did it in style.
