This a short documentary about an amazing Cuban woman named Yaya and the surfing community that surrounds her in Havana. Yaya is a dolphin trainer by trade and one of her nation’s very small group of women who surf.
“I was excited about this film,” she says, “as there have already been films made about surf in Cuba, but only about men while the women only played a small part of the film. But they haven’t made any reference to men and women in surf.”
