If you don’t follow longboarding, you’d be forgiven for not knowing the name Kai Sallas. If you live in Hawaii or have a love for the log, though, you would not be. Kai Sallas is the 2018 ISA Champion and a man who rides a longboard better than nearly anyone else. His surfing is a wonderful mix of old-school longboard style and high-performance surfing, and it’s proof that some of the best surfing in the world isn’t being done on plain old shortboards.
