The Inertia

October 14 was a good day to be a surfer in Bali. Especially if said surfer happened to paddle out at Keramas — the swell had dropped a tad from the previous day, but the water was like oil-slick glass. The barrels, too, had a notably better shape than the day before, and size isn’t everything, right?

“There were a few pros making some deep barrels, but it was consistent enough for regular surfers to score some better than average tube time as well,” wrote Surfers of Bali. “It’s not too often all the elements come together like this, even a good tide, wind, and swell is no guarantee of these kinds of waves. It was definitely the best we’ve seen it breaking in a while.”
