The Wedge wants to kill you. Sometimes its big and wants to kill you. Sometimes its small and wants to kill you. But it always wants you dead.
And on June 10, it REALLY wanted to kill anyone riding any kind of board.
Because, under the power of a massive south swell that had just swept across the world and detonated all along the California coast, the man-made break in Newport Harbor became an absolute assasin. And we’ve been getting the footage to prove it for weeks.
Though the swell has finally faded to a distant memory, we have yet one more edit to hearken back to those summer days. This one comes courtesy of Southern California mainstay BEEFS TV, and features the channel’s signature style of raw footage, excellent surfing, and a running commentary throughout.
