I keep getting asked when Uncharted Waters, the Personal History of Wayne Lynch, the film I DP’d last year is screening again in the United States. The sold out screenings have left a few disappointed fans and although another USA tour has yet to be confirmed, what I can say is that the film has hit the ground running in Australia, and is currently screening at over thirty cinemas in every state of Australia. Directed by Craig Griffin, a master story teller, it includes footage from classic films like Evolution and Sea of Joy. Needless to say, it’s being very well received.
A review from friend Taylor Miller in Byron Bay said the “Audience swallowed the film like it was a fat Hawskbury oyster.” I believe that means it’s a must-see, folks!
Dave Parmenter (Former Pro Surfer and Writer) – “Wayne is that rogue element that has never been turned into a dancing bear.”
Drew Kampion (Writer) – “It is the nature of some people to be drawn to the edge…he clearly went there…it’s not about audience…”
