The Inertia

Editor’s note: Ten years ago, Doug Walker rediscovered 30,000 old surf photos from the 1970s at a flea market in Pasadena. In the decade-or-so since Doug’s spent hours interviewing photographers, talking story about the photos and diving deeper into the collection. And that’s just for the photos where he knows who shot ’em. The collection is filled with shots taken by anonymous photogs. It’s Doug’s belief these documentarians deserve recognition for their work. That’s why we’re proud to launch a new series we’re calling Who Shot This Wednesday. If you have any information about who shot the photo above shoot us an email at contribute@theinertia.com!

A knee boarder is laying into a serious bottom turn here. Whether standing or riding on your knees, it’s all about the freedom of expression. We would love to know who took this special image. Share and enjoy the ALOHA!!
