So the bus thing, the tiny home thing, any way for people who grew up in beautiful places to live in their hometowns–despite ridiculous real estate prices–we endorse. Keeping locals, local, enriches every town. Or just to live a simple life focused on fun. That’s what it’s about. Being off the grid is good for everyone.

Check out Joe Herbert and Kaitlin Fewings as filmed by Ben Walton. These two spent a couple of years tripping around New Zealand on a school bus converted into a camper van of sorts in a project they tagged “Road to Adventure” (below).

Now they’re moving back to Fewings’ hometown in Western Australia. Outside magazine hosted this episode as Walton chronicles the couple. The reality of living for less.
