The Gudauskas brothers have to be the most bubbling-over energetic, psyched for all mankind dudes in surf. Smiling wide (as per usual), they recently took a trip to Jamaica that was unlike any other.
To back up a bit, in 2014 Pat, Dane, and Tanner took their first trip to Jamaica. Once there, they realized how talented up and coming surfers (like Billy “Mystic” Wilmot) were making due with a general lack of access to boards and equipment. Being that import tariffs in Jamaica are so high, there are no surf shops, no shapers, and a general shortage of surf equipment. And yet, the burgeoning surf scene is one of the most stoked in the world.
Upon returning home, the brothers took it upon themselves to institute a surfboard drive. By spreading the word via friends, family, and social media, they collected over 200 used surfboards. They then shipped the boards to Kingston Harbor.
Positive Vibration follows the Gudauskas brothers to Jamaica where they deliver the boards to the local surfers. It’s all about keeping the positive vibes alive.
