Pedro Scooby isn’t often in surfing’s limelight. It’s strange, though–there a million moments where another surfer is in the limelight, and Pedro’s just there in the background. He’s one Nazare’s most respected surfers. He kills it in small waves and kills it even more in huge ones. The Brazilian is an icon in his home country and spends nearly his whole life chasing the biggest and best waves on the planet. He does it all for a good reason, too: “My life is flavoured with big waves and great friends,” he says. “The person that crosses the world to surf a single wave does that because he loves it. I’m not scared of risk, even less scared of being happy.”
