Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to follow the entire WSL posse in and out of town for a tour stop? And that doesn’t mean show up, watch a couple of heats and skip out when a champ is crowned. What does Teahupo’o look like with that scaffolding standing tall but no waves to judge? There are a million images associated with a tour stop in exotic destinations that we rarely stop to see or think about. The lay days spent exploring Tahiti, waves not named Teahupo’o, but best of all is that beautiful scenery that takes a backseat to the waves when the contest is on.
Tahiti is probably already on your travel bucket list. But maybe now we can consider a trip to French Polynesia while the WSL is in town too?
