After much anticipation this Labor Day weekend fired, to say the very least. And with Hurricane Linda on her way, things aren’t slowing down in the slightest. This weekend, we were blessed with some amazing moments— especially because of the simple fact that some of the best spots were in my own backyard.
This weekend was definitely a holiday, as most spots around town looked like a zoo. Even at 5:30 a.m, parking lots were packed with lookie-loos, seeing where exactly their best bet would be. Everyone was on it and it was easy to see why. Glassy and offshore with the smell of humidity and smoldering campfires made me feel like I was on a journey to an exotic wave in some far-away tropical paradise. But no, I was home. And it felt oh so sweet.
