The Inertia

Yes, California has been gifted some awfully fun surf over the last week. And it’s all just in time to host the top-34 for the Hurley Pro at Trestles, putting Lowers in the spotlight and witnessing the freshest of air reverses, huge hacks, and big time burn jobs. Yes, it’s the most heavily trafficked wave on the West Coast but when you see footage like this it’s easy to see why. Lowers is just so much fun to surf. It’s really that simple. It’s fast but forgiving. It’s as symmetrical and even predictable as any other wave you’ll find. So if you ever want to see how creative the likes of John John, Mick, Julian Wilson and co. can get just plop them in the middle of the lineup at Lowers on a fun sized day.
