The Inertia

I know what you’re thinking. “Mason Ho has REALLY never surfed Teahupoo?” It’s mind-boggling. He’s one of surfing’s biggest chargers and especially when it comes to heaving left barrels. But the Hawaiian has finally popped his chopes cherry. And he did so under-gunned and in some challenging conditions.

After the cancelled Rip Curl Padang Padang contest, Mason hopped over to Tahiti to try and score some waves with Bruno Santos. And without the appropriate boards, Mase opted to borrow one of Jadson Andre’s rhino-chasers. Being his first time out at the infamous South Pacific slab, Mason took a few necessary slams before getting spit out of a few gems.

“I’m really stoked I finally got over here,” Mason said. “I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I think I’m going to be over here a lot more than ever before, just cuz that was one of the funnest times of my life.”
