Back in 2011, Foster Huntington quit his job, packed up a van, and hit the road. He did what most people wish they could do, what everyone talks about doing without ever actually taking the plunge. Since then he’s become an enigmatic wanderer, created a popular photo book, spawned the viral hashtag #vanlife, and built the world’s coolest treehouse.
The latest leg of Foster’s nomadic travels brought him south of the border on a surfing and fishing mission with friends Trevor Gordon and Ian Durkin. This bunch is as creative as they come: Gordon is an artist and photographer and Durkin is a keen-eyed filmmaker. When those minds come together, you get pure gold. The above clip blends Bruce Brown’s documentary style with the wry wit of Monty Python.
