Peak season has passed for most surf trips through the Indian Ocean. Odds are your eyes were on Indonesia all summer long, and around this time of year your attention is focused elsewhere. At the moment Californians have plenty of reason to be happy with living in California, the WSL is taking over Europe, and pretty much everybody in the Northern Hemisphere is psyching on the fact that winter is around the corner. But October marks the end of Indonesia’s busy season.
Yago Dora just packed in one more adventure through Bali and Lombok before it’s time to start a winter travel schedule. The dude’s still a teenager and has been surfing for less than a full decade, and being born nowhere near the ocean might explain why he’s frantically collecting a lifetime worth of barrels in Indonesia before Indo’s “off season” begins.
