You know that moment just after you pop up on a wave and look down the line, then realize how much fun you’re about to have? It’s a great moment. It’s always very brief, but it happens on just about every decent wave you get up on. You’ve just made the drop, gotten to your feet, and you see that long watery wall stretching out before you, just begging to be surfed. Nic Vaughan probably had that moment for quite a bit longer than usual on a massive, perfect Mav’s beast back in late October. You can bet he’s still vibrating from this one.
