The only thing that makes any of this even better is the fact that the world’s most storied wave is at the center of it all, as always.

The Pacific Ocean is brewing up something big right this minute, as you watch and read this, set to peak right as the contest window opens. Yep, it’s a good time to be on the North Shore.
