The Inertia

A quick glance into the life of Yeferson Bellido, a former street kid. Yeferson, fled his house at the age of ten from being abused by his father. He ended up sleeping at a playground on the streets of Lima. He surely would have slowly turned to stealing, drugs, and cheating people on the streets if it wasn’t for one amazing woman who took him in. Yeferson was placed into a children’s home in San Bartolo, Peru and put back into school. He soon found his love for the ocean and surfing. Yeferson’s surfing ability has progressed over the years, winning him numerous national surf contests in Peru, in which he is an inspiration to all the other Groms in the San Bartolo region who have gone through the same thing. On top of going from street kid to local surf champ, he is also currently studying architecture at a university in Peru. Enjoy his Trailer and follow Time Well Spent Documentary for his full story along with four other groms on an epic journey to surf and give back to others.

Time Well Spent documents James Fazio, a professional surfer and filmmaker, and four young men on a surf adventure of a lifetime in Panama. These groms come from four different countries carrying stories of pain and hardships. The documentary will lead us to the boys’ front doors in Hawaii, Peru, Indonesia and Australia to share their backstory. As their stories unfold, we learn that each have found healing and restoration through surfing. James, along with other pro-athletes, are inviting the boys to join them on an epic surf trip to one of the most diverse surfing destinations in the world, Bocas Del Toro, Panama.
